NEW BLOG

Well I started my new blog because this one would not let me change the templates... ever! And to add pictures I actually had to go in and write the code. You know when you click "Edit HTML" and it is a bunch of numbers and letters and symbols jumbled together? Yeah I get to deal with that.... Thankfully I am a Graphic Designer so I know what all of those letters, numbers, and symbols mean so it isnt too bad.

Long story short- change you link to MY NEW BLOG!!! WOO HOO!!!

Tagged x 2

Ok so I was putting off this tag but seeing as that i have now been tagged twice.... I figure I should probably do it. So... here are 6 odd things about me...

#1- UNEVEN BRAIN
Yes, it is true... my brain is uneven. The left side is larger than the right, causing my entire body to be uneven, right down the middle. My left foot is an 8, my right a 6.5. My right eye is far-sighted, my left is near-sighted. Ironically, all of my injuries (minus 2 broken toes and 1 broken arm) have been on the left side.

#2- I HATE CATS... and now I have 2.
Those of you who know me know that I HATE cats. I think they are sneaky and manipulative. Well guess what? I am now "Aunt Becca" to two of the cutest little kitties EVER!!! Bella and Travis (as in Travis Barker.... long story)

This is Bella and Trav with Ash.

Ok really, you can't tell me Bella isn't precious!

#3-I TRY UGLY CLOTHES ON FOR FUN
Really, I do. I love to try the ugliest thing in the store on just for fun. Sadly I have purchased a few of those items because they end up being cute....

Me and Tiffy in Texas- the shirts were like $70 or else we would have bought them

#4- I MAKE TUNA.... AND I AM GOOD AT IT
I love tuna fish!!! I really do! But I have become very picky about it because nobody can make a tuna melt like I can... Seriously. Not even my Grandma! The secret is lemon pepper, a little lemon juice, and the Best Foods brand of Mayo. Oh and there is one particular kind of relish (not the mustard kind just cut up pickles) that just makes it that much better! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

TunaMelt "Pizza" is to die for!

#5- I AM A DWEEB
Really I am. I am addicted to msnbc.com. It is pathetic. I love it! It is the first thing I check when I get up (in case some crazy thing has happened in the world in the 3 hours I have been asleep) and the last thing I check before I go to bed. I probably check it at least 30 times in a day. Most people check facebook, I check msnbc.com.

#6- I HAVE A BIG HEAD
Not literally a big head (although one side is bigger than the other)... I mean I have a big ego. I am worse than any man you have ever met because I refuse to stop and ask for directions. I am the girl who accidentally gets in the turning lane too early, and will drive around for 30 minutes trying to find my way out rather than just looking like the ditz I am a merge back into traffic. Seriously- it is sad.

#7- LC double?? Anyone?
So I have the most "gummy" smile ever! 1/2 teeth, 1/2 gum. Its sad. Well, there is a show called The Hills. The main character, Lauren Conrad, smiles straight out. Most people smile up, she smiles out. Well one day I was goofing off with my roomies talking about her smile and I impersonated her and apparently I am dead on?? I dunno. But lately I have found myself smiling more like her in picture than my gummy smile. Subconsciously I think I want to be her.

My "el natural" smile. Seriously- gummy.

My not-so "el natural" but becoming "el natural" smile. I dont even notice I do it anymore, but apparently I bust out the LC smile when it's picture time. I am a dweeb.

I tag: Donelly, Jennifer Lynn, and Necia

Mas de DC...

PS (Pre Script in this scenario) I went to Gettysburg yesterday, which meant I went to 2 new states I have never been to... Maryland is beautiful!!!!! Pennsylvania is equally pretty, and the town of Gettysburg was awesome!

Here are a few other things we have been up to out here in the good ol' District of Columbia.

Me and the D-ster (new nickname- hope you like it Donelly!) in front of the White House... or as it will soon be named my some of the local teens "The Black House...."

D-cat-Donelly!!!

Me!

Me at the Fallen Police Officer's memorial. It had a cool lion.

Me in front of a cool building.... I dunno. Donelle wanted to take a picture.

Me making my grand entrance into the FBI.

Donelle making her not so grand entrance (meaning she was later arrested for having a bomb in her purse.... it was no big deal nobody got hurt. We don't get why they arrested her).

Donelle said, "Ooh you need a picture! it's a pretty tree...." after many minutes, or seconds, of begging, I finally gave her the camera.

DC Part 1

#1- the metro rocks
#2- the metro does not take you everywhere- which means a LOT of walking and a lot of blisters...
#3- my body does not like walking.
#4- Amazing food = good thing I am doing lots of walking.
#5- this city is AWESOME!
#6- the weather is perfect
#7- I may not come home... ever.

The Doober Boy is 1!!!

On October 30th, my amazingly adorable nephew, Landon, turned one!!! It is crazy to believe that it has already been a year, but it is even crazier to think what my life was like with out him!

Landon is the happiest little boy you will ever meet! He always greets you with a big smile, and LOVES big hugs and snuggles. His best friends are his dad, mom, and grandpa a.k.a. "bop" (which is Doober's newest and favorite word...)

This is Landon Doober on Halloween last year. He was only 1 day old and had amazing bright, happy eyes, and we had still never heard him cry when this was taken...

He never stood a chance at not having "Cougar Pride"... the poor kid is brainwashed.

Seriously- the dimples are to die for!!!

Really- you can't tell me he isn't adorable!

He wasn't sure about the whole digging into the cake concept.... My bro-in-law had to stick his hand in it...

Once he realized he wasn't gonna be in trouble.... he really got into the concept.

seriously- he LOVED it! Not much got in his mouth, but it got all over Jen's floor!!

It's Just About Here...

In 2 days, we have the opportunity to vote. This freedom, as they say, has not come free! How many thousands of lives have been lost throughout the years to protect out freedoms? Voting is one of the blessings we enjoy from being free. I have tended to keep my mouth shut on politics this year, except to those closest around me who I feel I can talk freely to, and to not push a person to vote for who I am voting for or stand where I stand. I intend to do the same here, but I feel it is time for me to make a stand.

I don't care if you are a 100% Obama fan, or if you just LOVE John McCain, or if you think Nader is the greatest thing to happen to American Politics. I don't care. I just hope that you vote for your candidate for the right reasons, not because they have the ability to sweet talk you into voting for them.

I fear that we, as American people, get so caught up in the fluff and the idealism of politics. We hear these great promises that, if you really sit down and look at them, are not possible.

We cannot look at the fluff of politics. Voting, as I have said earlier, is a privilege which we enjoy because so many have given their lives for our freedom. How can we recognize that point, and still go to the polls not knowing the real issues at hand, and how each candidate stands on them... on a national as well as local level.

I don't care who anybody votes for, but be smart about who you vote for... make sure that the candidate you choose, once again on any level, stands in the same place you do on core beliefs.

I am voting for John McCain. Do I believe he is the greatest man in the world to run for President? NO. In fact I find it sad that out of all the brilliant and amazing Americans, these guys are the best we have to offer. But ultimately, his beliefs are in line with mine. Yes, he doesn't have the most vast array of economic experience, as well as many other faults. But ultimately he stands where I stand on what I consider to be the most important issues to me, such as gay marriage, abortion, and foreign policy.

All I ask is that you step back, ignore the fluff, and really look at what the candidates stand for. Do you really want Washington to take over? (Quite frankly, that thought terrifies me. In my opinion, the last thing we need is bigger government...) Do you believe in using abortion as a form of birth control? Do you believe in gay marriage? Do you believe that raising taxes will really hep the American and global economy which is in such disarray ? Or do you believe that we should lower taxes? Do you believe the President of the United States should meet with foreign dignitaries without any preset conditions? How do you feel about alternate energy solutions? Do you believe we should be able to drill for oil on our own land, keeping that money in the hands of Americans and not in the hands of those in Saudi Arabia and man other foreign countries? Or should we not deal with the pain of fighting "the tree huggers" for the right to drill and just keep sending the money over, becoming more and more dependent?

Answer these questions thoughtfully, truthfully, and I believe you will have you answer of who to vote for in the Presidential race. Find the key issues in your local and state government and figure out where each candidate stands. Don't go in blind. Don't elect somebody just because they are a republican or a democrat. Keep your mind open and find the candidate who stands for what you believe in your heart of hearts.

Deer Hunt=P.A.R.T.Y.

This past weekend was the opening weekend for the deer hunt. Which, for most people means lots of guns, camp fires, orange vests and hats, and walking lots and lots of miles in hunt of that prized 6 point buck....

For the Bingham Girls, however, it means SHOPPING and lots of it! For as long as I can remember, all of the girls from my mom's side of the family would get together for the deer hunt and go shopping, go to lunch, etc.

Even though my Grandma passed away a year and half ago, this is one tradition we just weren't ready to let go of. So we (Mom, Jen, Erika, Landon, my Aunt Geri, cousin Kristen, and Kristen's daughters Rusti and Addison) went to Gardner Village for Witches Night Out (kids edition), then had a sleep over that night, and on Saturday we went shopping and to lunch in Park City. My aunt Cilla as well as her daughter, two daughter-in-laws, and one granddaughter met us in Park City. It was seriously a blast!

My mom with her sister Geraldine (aka Geri) in front of a sign that greatly describes the Bingham girls....

Landon + Food = Happiness

Rusti is such a pretty little girl!

Erika LOVED being dressed up as a witch!

Rusti and her Grandma Geri- my mom's sister and possibly the coolest aunt ever!

Cute Landon was so good and put up with all of the women, and all of the shopping!

our cute little witches- Erika and Rusti

The whole group that went to witches night out...
